The affidavit denying the historicity of Lord Rama, was nothing short of a master stroke by the Congress-Left cartel. Deny the Setu today, the Jhanambhoomi tomorrow and the whole of Hinduism the day after. That was perhaps their game plan, until the indignation of Hindus across the country forced Saint Sonia to do her Ram Rescuing act. 

Perhaps in no other nation are the interests and sentiments of the majority of citizens so easily and blatantly ignored. Today the Indian identity and ethos is under attack. And by Indian I mean exactly that – Indian – not Hindu or Muslim or Sikh, but the hard working every day Indian, the tax paying Indian and if I may, the naïve Indian like you and me whose future, whose pride and whose unity this diabolic crowd is out to destroy. The Congress shall continue to play its appeasement card and the treacherous Left its retrograde agenda. In this political climate who is looking out for YOU mon ami? S’il vous plait, Pensez.

Ask yourself if quota has to exist even after 60 years of freedom why should it be still associated with communities or caste fomenting divisiveness and distrust? Why can’t it now be applied uniformly to all Indians that are needy? Ask yourself why is corruption so rampant? Ask yourself why are the doctors in AIIMS being targeted by an ineffective and ineffectual minister? Ask why the same people who shout from roof tops about the right of our Dalit brethren never talk of truly educating them into free thinking individuals who would refuse to be led like sheep? And just how long are we going to keep wearing our developing nation status like a crown of thorns and let the status of being developed elude us?

Well I for one believe that things are the way they are because of our naivety, our apathy and because we won’t lift a finger to stop all this from happening. Like we don’t like a finger when terrorists are imported to wreak havoc in the country, like we won’t lift a finger when our belief and our conscience is held ransom. 

Indeed it is time to hear the voice of Lord Rama anew. For the voice of Rama is the voice of truth, of righteousness, of our own atman.

Of Lord Rama, the Wikipedia says: Rama's life and journey is one of perfect adherence to dharma despite harsh tests of life and time. And testing time it is again for Rama and for all of humanity for whom the Lord has stood as beckon of hope and an epitome of righteousness. It is time for his Vanar-Sena to close ranks once again. Lord Rama is out to rescue our captive conscience this time. He speaks to us through the voice of our own Souls, encouraging us to shed our inhibitions, inactions and fears to fight against the assailing forces of darkness. Its’ high time that we stood up to be counted and play out our part in making our Bharat truly Mahaan.
